Enhancing Protection from Gender Based Violence

Description of project

In partnership with UNIFEM the unit developed activities enhancing protection against gender based violence and capacity building to MIGEPROF. Based on the achievement and lessons learnt from the first phase of the project, the purpose of the project is to increase the accountability of the state and other institutions to gender equality, justice and human rights through policies and actions aimed at addressing inequality, insecurity, ignorance and all support in every way to cub GBV.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

Strengthened performance and fairness of the justice system, while strengthening the rule of law and nurturing environment for the promotion and protection of human rights. 2. Decreased levels of gender based violence (GBV).

expected OUTPUTS

1. Support the development and implementation of the national strategies and plans of action for the supreme court
2. Provide technical assistance to strengthen and professionalize the law enforcement organs
3. Support the tracking and reporting of incidences of violence 4. Support for the sensitization of the law enforcing agencies on gender based violence.
